GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation) is a regulation of the European Union that sets forth the guidelines for collecting, processing, and storing personal data of EU/EEA citizens. This legal framework applies to all entities, regardless of their location, dealing with the data of EU/EEA citizens. It was approved in 2016 and enforced on May 25, 2018. The aim of the GDPR is to give people more control over their personal data and the right to withdraw consent to data processing by companies.
